His grandfather, George Ballas Sr., owned the world's largest dance studio, which he later sold to invest in the invention of the innovative trimmer "Weed Eater." His grandmother was a renowned flamenco dancer.

At the age of four, Mark was enrolled in the Italian Academy of Theatre Arts in Conti, where he learned singing, dancing, and acting.
